We've Got the Industry's Best Cisco Certified Network Professionals

Technology service providers rely upon strong partnerships with vendors to provide clients with the products, services and support necessary to operate their devices effectively. One of Marco’s primary partnerships is with Cisco. As one of the nation’s largest technology vendors, Cisco products and services are used in offices across the country. One way vendors enable service providers to deliver quality service for their products is by providing education and requiring certification.

These certification programs allow service technicians and engineers to gain advanced expertise and specialized skills necessary to promote, maintain and repair a variety of products and services. Marco is proud to announce that our technology engineers, Nick Thompson and Clay Ostlund, have recently completed the Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification program.

Cisco Certified Network Professionals

The Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification program provides individuals with the world’s most respected networking certification. Network engineers with an active Cisco CCIE certification have completed lessons and laboratory work to achieve the engineering skills and mastery of Cisco products and solutions required to label them experts in the field. The deep technical knowledge, combined with the ability to deploy these solutions in technically challenging environments, makes CCIE certified engineers highly respected in the industry.

Testing tools and methodologies employed in the CCIE certification program are updated and revised on a regular basis. The program was introduced in 1993 to assist the IT industry in distinguishing those individuals as experts in the top echelon of the networking field around the world. Just 3% of Cisco-certified professionals around the globe have CCIE certification, and less than 1% of all networking professionals worldwide have CCIE certification.

The CCIE certification program offers expert-level certifications in Cisco collaboration, data center, routing & switching, security, service provider and wireless solutions. Completing these programs requires weeks of coursework and hours in a lab, proving the mental competency and ability to implement these solutions in the real world.

Benefits of CCIE to Your Business

CCIE certification provides these individuals with the intimate knowledge required to analyze your business and determine which Cisco solutions can provide real-world benefits to your business.

With CCIE certified employees on staff, Marco now has a stronger partnership with Cisco. When CCIE certified professionals call in on behalf of clients, their technical service requests are routed directly to Cisco's most experienced TS support engineers. For Marco clients, this means faster access to highly skilled support.

Our reason for having employees become certified and strengthening our partnership with Cisco is all about providing our customers with access to the best products and services possible.

Congratulations Nick & Clay

Marco would like to take a moment to directly thank our two employees who have earned CCIE certification. Nick Thompson and Clay Ostlund passed their CCIE exams and laboratory requirements in December 2014 to earn their Cisco certification. Both Nick and Clay have spent countless hours studying and working in the lab to prepare for, and pass, their CCIE exams.

Their devotion to the program required long days and time away from their families to complete. In doing so, they are now positioned to provide customers throughout the region with industry leading support for Cisco products and services.
