Marco was founded in 1973 when Gary Marsden and Dave Marquardt (the "Mar" in Marco) purchased a small typewriter shop in St. Cloud, Minnesota. 

In 2025, Marco rolled out the Insights Platform — a comprehensive technology management tool that offers clients quick tech recommendations, lifecycle management tools, service tracking, device analytics, and more. 

Marco can provide services to clients across the US from a number of regional offices. A Logistics Hub in Des Moines, Iowa, became operational in 2026, enabling 2-day shipping nationwide.
