Feature Friday: Business Technology Services, Fargo ND

Fargo is considered the center of shopping, healthcare, manufacturing and education for most of eastern North Dakota. For Marco, it is the center for our business technology services across the state and into western Minnesota. In this “Feature Friday” blog you’ll get a glimpse into Marco’s Fargo office.

business_technology_services Our Fargo office serves as our regional headquarters. This location features warehouse space, a loading dock, shipping and receiving area, new equipment set up space, an IT lab, state of the art conference rooms and flexible work areas for our 35 Fargo-based employees.

We moved into this newly constructed space in February of 2014. Our new office is located at:

Quick History Lesson

In 2008 we acquired a company called GR Graphics, which provided copiers in Fargo as well as Grand Forks. This was our first presence within North Dakota, and an important phase in our growth plan in the upper Midwest. Over the next four years and a couple of additional acquisitions, we opened offices across North Dakota that allowed us to offer business technology services throughout the state.

Most offices originally focused on copier and printer services, which was a great starting point for Marco. But we quickly added resources to expand these services to include audio/video, business IT, document management and phone systems.

Fun Facts

Our CEO, Jeff Gau, and COO, Jonathan Warrey, are both alums of University of North Dakota (UND).
With family in the Fargo area, Jonathan chose to move back to the area and currently works out of this office.
In 2014, Marco was selected as the ChamberChoice 2014 Young Professionals Best Place to Work, by the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce.
In 2008, the same year Marco entered Fargo (and North Dakota), the city hosted the largest pancake feed in the world. This may or may not be related to why we decided to do business there.
Also this year, Jonathan Warrey was awarded the 2014 Young Alumni Achievement Award by the University of North Dakota.
In Fargo, there are 2,160 people per square mile, according to the United States Census Bureau. To compare, the people per square mile across North Dakota is 9.7.
