ST. CLOUD — Marco, the St. Cloud-based provider of copiers, printers and managed IT services, has made 42 acquisitions to date and it’s all part of a growth strategy CEO Jeff Gau says has been in place for more than a decade.
"We went from not-on-anybody's-radar-screen to the largest in the industry in about the last 10 years," Gau said. "Now we're the largest in our industry."
The company's most recent acquisition is its first outside of the Midwest. Last week, Marco acquired Phillips Office Solutions, an East Coast provider of copiers, printers and document management solutions. Phillips has 140 employees and 10 offices across Pennsylvania and Maryland.
