A Pause on the Clock, Not on the Risk
On July 13, 2026, the Department of War suspended CMMC Phase 2 — the third-party certification requirement that was set to begin November 10. But your existing obligations haven't gone anywhere. DFARS 252.204-7012, annual self-assessment, and your Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) protection requirements are all still fully in force, and False Claims Act exposure for inaccurate self-assessments hasn't changed.
Join Marco's cybersecurity and compliance specialists for a session on what changed, what didn't, and what defense contractors and manufacturers should be doing right now.
Why Attend
A pause in the certification timeline isn't a reason to pause your preparation. This session will help you answer:
- Are we still required to do anything, and what does the suspension actually change for us?
- What does our contract or subcontract require, separate from the government's calendar?
- What should we be asking our prime contractors, and how do we get that answer in writing?
- Where are the gaps most companies get wrong, and what do they cost?
- What should we prioritize while the certification requirement is on hold?
What You’ll Learn:
- The update. What changed on July 13, 2026, what's paused, and what's still required of you regardless
- The stakes. What happens when a company gets its cybersecurity claims wrong, including recent six- and seven-figure False Claims Act settlements over inflated self-assessment scores
- The confusion. How to read your own contract for CMMC clauses (DFARS 252.204-7012, 7019, 7020, 7021) and get a documented answer from your prime instead of a verbal one
- The roadmap. The three stages every company moves through — readiness, build and implement, certify and maintain — and which verification path applies to you
- Live Q&A with Marco's cybersecurity and compliance specialists
