Paul Allen first hit the KFAN Radio Airwaves in the summer of 1995 as host of At The Races, a weekly horse racing show, specifically at Canterbury Park where Allen has held the title of Track Announcer since ‘95. From temporary lay-off to permanent payoff, Allen was initially fill-in host for Jesse Ventura while he ran for Governor. Reality set in when Jesse was elected and Allen was given the midday show on a permanent basis.
Allen has been the voice of the Minnesota Vikings since 2002 and is often mentioned as one of the best play-by-play announcers in the NFL. He also hosts Vikings Game Plan on KARE 11.
