From Typewriter to Cloud

Just two years into the typewriter business, business technology was already evolving. First, we diversified our offerings to include copier and print services, and a decade after that, we added voice and data networks. With these first few changes, Marco demonstrated an ability to transition and adapt to the changing landscape of business technology – a strategy that remains essential today.

Continuing into the latter half of the 1990s, we weren’t just evaluating what products and services to provide, we were also considering how we were operating as a business and how we were meeting the needs of our clients. At this point, we introduced LEAN as our continuous improvement process. Since then, LEAN has provided us with a platform to keep our company strong while continuously evaluating and adapting our business processes.

The next significant shift to our business strategy and service offerings was in 2005. That year, we added Managed Services to our core offerings, and we made our first business acquisition – Modern Business Equipment of Detroit Lakes, MN. Since that time, we’ve grown to become one of the top technology service providers in the nation, and we’ve officially adapted business acquisitions as a part of our growth strategy. To date, we’ve acquired nearly 40 businesses.

Throughout the years, we’ve seen changes to our offerings and our footprint. And even as Marco continues to grow and evolve, some key things have remained the same:
