Support Desk Specialist

The Support Desk Specialist is responsible for providing quality services and solutions to our clients while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.  You will provide phone support, remote troubleshooting and administration. 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and remote help desk services to Marco clients
  • Provide remote monitoring of client equipment by means of remote management software
  • Review current systems and make technical/process recommendations for improving efficiency
  • Perform remote server health checks, check backup logs, test restore, check event logs and drive space.  Install security patches and service packs
  • Maintain client documentation
  • Triage tickets and escalate when necessary per Service Level Agreement requirements
  • Accurately maintain documentation and comply with service administrative procedures in a timely basis to include time entry
  • Maintain call center expectations

 Required Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree and up to 2+ years of experience or Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Solid understanding of the administration of network operating systems and services found in a client environment
  • Proficiency with business collaboration tools such as MS Office applications and Visio
  • Superior communication skills in working with technical and non-technical people and the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relations among all levels of an organization

  • Manufacturer sponsored certifications from the following companies:  Microsoft, Cisco, HP Networking and VMware
  • Experience working with secure environments
