Support Desk Technician

Golden Valley, MN

The Support Desk Technician is responsible for providing quality services and solutions to one of our clients onsite while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction. This position is located at a client site in Golden Valley, MN.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Interacting and providing tech support to end users on-site at Marco client
  • Working with the client’s phone system and escalating tickets to internal Marco Technicians when necessary
  • Placing phones and hardware
  • Providing technical support and remote help desk services to Marco clients and end users
  • Providing remote monitoring of client equipment by means of remote management software
  • Reviewing current systems and make technical/process recommendations for improving efficiency
  • Performing remote server health checks, check backup logs, test restore, check event logs and drive space 
  • Installing security patches and service packs
  • Maintaining client documentation

Desired Skill Sets:

  • Associates Degree (or equivalent) and up to 2 years of experience or equivalent experience
  • Willingness and ability to learn new technical information
  • Be a self-starter with the ability to work with little to no direct supervision
  • Ability to find and carry out resolutions to problems on own using resources
  • Proficiency with business collaboration tools such as MS Office applications and Visio
  • Superior communication skills in working with technical and non-technical people
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and time/task management skills
