Lead AV Technician

The Lead AV Technician is responsible for providing quality services and solutions to our clients while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.  You will be involved in all areas to effectively provide AV solutions to clients.  You are responsible for design, management, administration and integration of products, services, applications and configuration of software and hardware.  You will handle responsibilities from basic system installations to the overall architecture and design of custom solutions.  This position includes frequent travel to clients’ sites with occasional overnight stays.

 Main Responsibilities:

  • Engineer, install and maintain new and/or existing AV equipment
  • Troubleshoot AV systems and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational problems
  • Effectively perform as technical lead on large or enterprise-sized projects, including workload distribution to a team of peers
  • Mentor and train other AV Technicians
  • Perform training sessions with the client
  • Maintain current technical knowledge and continuously work to expand knowledge of new technology and equipment
  • Represent Marco in a professional manner at all times
  • Perform all work in a safe manner including but not limited to loading/unloading vehicles, lifting equipment, climbing, etc. to protect      yourself and your coworkers.  Use good judgment and give constant attention to the work being done
  • Maintain parts inventory
  • Accurately maintain documentation and comply with service administrative procedures in a timely basis to include pick tickets, collecting client signatures and time entry


Desired Skill Sets:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of experience or equivalent experience
  • Current high level industry recognized certifications including CTS-I, CTS-D or CTS– online training for RU credits and two or more of the following: Biamp, BSS Level 2, Extron Control Specialist, Configuring for Control, DMC-E, CTI-P201 (Core Systems Programming) or DSP
  • Power Limited Tech (PLT) – may vary by state
  • Proficiency with business collaboration tools such as MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and Visio
  • General knowledge of IP networking and data technologies
