Marco Purchases Illinois Copier Company; Continues National Expansion

Marco, Inc., a leading technology services provider in the United States, announced today that it has purchased Illinois Valley Business Equipment (IVBE), a copier and printer company located in Peru, Bloomington and Peoria, Illinois.

This purchase allows Marco to further expand its geographic footprint nationally and provide technical services in the state of Illinois. This is the 11th acquisition that the company has completed over the past three years. In early September, Marco purchased Northeast Photocopy Company, Inc. (NEP) in Appleton and Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Since 2003, the company has grown from 141 employees to over 810 employees and now has 39 locations nationally. Fifty-five percent of that growth has come through Marco’s existing customer base and forty-five percent has been through acquisitions.

“Our acquisition strategy is to buy similar companies in locations where Marco doesn’t already have a presence,” said Marco CEO Jeff Gau. “We look forward to continuing IVBE’s commitment to satisfying their clients and are excited about the expanded business IT services we can offer them.”

IVBE has been in business for 44 years and serves over 1,500 customers. Their employees have joined the Marco team. “We have a 20 year relationship with Marco and have always viewed them as an outstanding partner,” said Scott Chatten, President of IVBE. “They will provide our employees opportunities for professional growth and our customers with outstanding service.”
