Marco, Inc. announced today that it has purchased the hosted/cloud services business of Twin Cities-based InCompass IT.
"This offering of hosted applications and infrastructure augments our well established Managed IT Services division and allows us to expand hosted/cloud services to our 18,000 customers," Marco CEO Jeff Gau said. "This will accelerate our regional and national expansion."
InCompass IT has provided hosted applications and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) for nearly two decades. They led the industry with the adoption of remote support technologies and implementation of Managed Services and were early to initiate cloud solutions with fully hosted desktops. InCompass
IT will continue to operate its consulting business under that name.
"This continues our commitment to provide the types of solutions our customers are evaluating for their businesses today," said Trevor Akervik, Director of Managed Services at Marco. "It also allows our customers, when appropriate, to transfer IT from a large capital investment to a much more
affordable and scalable monthly operating expense and gain 24-7 support from Marco's local call center.
Tom Kell, InCompass IT's President, along with the rest of their team, will join Marco at its recently expanded St. Louis Park office. Marco also will occupy InCompass IT's existing data center space in the Century Link building in Minneapolis.
