Marco Kicks Off Fundraising Campaign for Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery

Marco, Inc. is partnering with the local community to raise funds for the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery by Camp Ripley in Little Falls. The Veterans Cemetery Memorial Association has commissioned internationally-recognized artist Charles Gilbert Kapsner from Little Falls to design and paint five 8’ x 10’ oil canvases depicting the history of our nation’s brave soldiers from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and Coast Guard.

This campaign will raise funds for the third of the series; the Coast Guard painting. The Coast Guard painting will be permanently displayed in the Committal Hall at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, joining the already completely Army and Navy paintings.

Marco’s campaign kick-off was held on October 1st at Marco’s St. Cloud headquarters location. The event included a welcome from Marco’s CEO Jeff Gau and David Swantek, Director of Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, and presentations by Kapsner on the art project.

Marco is continuing the fundraising campaign online in collaboration with Leighton Broadcasting and their radio network. We are asking the broader community to help support this project through making a donation to fund the completion of the Coast Guard painting. Marco is matching all donations submitted toward the project up to $10,000.

Donations are being administered by the Initiative Foundation located in Little Falls, Minnesota.
