Printing reliability and convenience cannot be compromised at Tri-County Abstract and Title Guaranty Inc. Driven by deadlines and documents, the St. Cloud-based company needed a managed print solution that would prevent printing issues from disrupting its high volume of real estate transactions.
Tri-County welcomed Marco’s offer to assess its workflow and create a managed print solution that fits their daily tasks and desire to deliver a superior customer experience. “We said here are our needs and Marco came back with a proposal to help streamline our printer maintenance,” said Sharon Sherwood, who oversees IT and marketing and assists in the accounting department at Tri-County. “They’re very knowledgeable. They took the time to get to know our business.” The SolutionA move to managed print services in January 2009 delivered a solution for evendistribution of annual maintenance expenses to Tri-County while providing better service and support. “When we compared it to the cost of toner, repairs and replacement, we discovered that it would be less expensive to have Marco manage our printers,” Sherwood said. Through the managed print services program, Marco helped Tri-County conduct a complete device discovery and provided monitoring and management tools to automatically capture meter readings on their devices. Marco provides full technical support for every printer. “We have zero maintenance,” Sherwood said. More for the Money Marco helped Tri-County organize the printers in its office to allow staff to easily print on-demand documents for clients attending closings. “Due to the fast-paced nature of our business, numerous documents are needed at a moment’s notice,” Sherwood said. “Often several closings can be occurring at the same time, and the availability of multiple printers allows us to quickly print documents without delaying a closing.” Without additional costs, Tri-County also added a new high-quality color printer for its marketing efforts. Sherwood reduced the headache, costs and lag time of printing ever-changing marketing flyers and promotions off-site. “I can now easily update a flyer and print 500 color copies while continuing to focus on other work,” Sherwood said. Customer Support Sherwood appreciates the ability to pick up and call the Marco help desk anytime she has a question. “Marco’s help desk is always willing to work with our software vendors to troubleshoot any technical issues and quickly find a solution with as little interruption as possible.” “Customer service at Marco has been absolutely superior,” Sherwood said. “They really understand technology is key to our business and ensure our systems are running at maximum efficiency at all times by scheduling periodic server updates, software upgrades, and daily monitoring of our backup systems.” And that service has not come at an additional cost to Tri-County. Sherwood tracks the company’s cost per copy through monthly print activity reports from Marco. The managed print services program has allowed Tri-County to easily manage its print expenses and streamline its billing. Marco conducts a Recurring Business Review (RBR) with Tri-County every six months to provide them with a detailed summary of their service call history, supplies order report, and device utilization report. “Because I handle both technology and accounts payable, I love that everything’s with one company and we know what we’re getting for the money,” Sherwood said. |
