MARCO'S MANAGED IT SERVICES ALLOWS ORION TO FOCUS ON MANAGING THEIR BUSINESS

For Orion Associates, taking care of people is their number one priority. So when it comes to their day-to-day IT needs, they appreciate the fact that Marco can take care of them so they can focus on their clients.

Orion Associates began using Marco’s Managed IT Services about two years ago. Marco provides them with a variety of network maintenance and monitoring services, security and software updates, and unlimited help desk support for approximately 100 computer users.

When Toni Thulen started with Orion six and a half years ago as Chief Financial Officer, she also took on the responsibility of the company’s technology needs. At that time, she had initially connected with Marco to help them implement their email system. Thulen explained, “I continued to use Marco for our IT needs because it felt like a good fit. We’ve stayed with them because of the relationship we have built over the years – our trust level with Marco has just increased over time. Marco is a great company and I really enjoy working with them.”

As Orion Associates started to grow and gain more computer users, Thulen needed some assistance in keeping their systems running smoothly and providing help desk support. They initially hired an IT person to perform those functions. “Even though we had an IT person on staff, I was still very involved and found out that one person can’t know and do everything,” said Thulen.

They then began using Marco’s Managed IT Services. “What I get from Marco is an array of knowledge for not much more than the cost of having an IT person on staff. They are collectively working on our behalf and their combined knowledge far exceeds the talent of just one person.”

Thulen said that it took about six months to transition all of their employees over to calling Marco’s Help Desk for all of their IT questions and issues. “People had to be trained to just call Marco. Every time they have called to get help it has been a positive experience. It also saves our internal employees time trying to assist others with IT issues. I believe in the long run Marco’s Managed IT Services have saved us a lot of intangible things like time.”

Orion receives monthly status reports from Marco including help desk utilization call volumes and network health checks. Marco’s team provides the company with an annual review to analyze their network and help desk data, help them determine future business needs, and provide them with a strategic technology road map.
