Concordia College
The Challenge

Concordia College was using an A.B. Dick copier which was quite old, had many copies on it, and was getting costly to operate.

The Solution
Marco met with Jay Thoreson, Career Center Director for Concordia College, to inquire about their copy/print needs and show them how cost effective it would be for them to upgrade to a Sharp AR-M350N digital imager.

When making their purchasing decision, Concordia College received a bid from three vendors, one of them being Marco. Jay said, “The other two companies never followed up with me until after the sale. In contrast, Marco's people came and met with me. They were engaged in the sales process when the other two didn’t show interest.”

Jay added, “I felt if the other two companies weren’t interested during the sales process, they probably wouldn’t follow-up after the sale.”

Concordia College’s new networked Sharp imager gives them the ability to copy, print, fax, and scan, and is used by multiple offices in their building. According to Jay, “It was very cost effective for us to make the change. We are using many of the networked print capabilities, which is a tremendous feature to have. Our offices use multiple forms so being able to scan and email the documents to a PC is great!”

“Another huge feature,” commented Jay, “is the accounting software on the unit. We can now keep track of copies used by department. It has made our lives much easier.”

When it came to the installation, Jay felt the process was seamless. “Marco provided training and we felt the machine was very user friendly and easy to learn how to operate. We are also using Marco’s on-line service which has been very helpful. We had some billing errors and brought them to Marco's attention. Thye took care of it for us and helped us work through it.”

Jay is pleased about their overall experience with Marco. “Marco’s sales department has been very good and very concerned about our satisfaction with the product,” commented Jay. “They just didn’t make the sale and leave. They make sure we are a satisfied customer!”
