The New Ulm Chamber was pleased with the service and response they received from Marco for their previous Sharp copier. Therefore, they decided the best solution for their document output needs was to upgrade to a new Sharp AR-355 networked copier/printer from Marco.
Jenny Eckstein, Vice President of Business Affairs, worked with Blake Schaper, Technology Advisor for Marco. Jenny explained, “We were able to upgrade our technology even before our lease was up on our other unit for just a few dollars more than our previous payment.” Marco set the New Ulm Chamber up on its Managed Account Program — a flexible financing program that allows them to utilize a new copier/printer and upgrade features as needed. They just pay for the number of copies/prints generated each month. The program includes the equipment, service, and supplies—everything except staples, paper, and network troubleshooting services.
The New Ulm Chamber uses the Sharp copier/printer for jobs such as board packets, brochures for home shows, Quarterly Hot Topics breakfasts, Business After Hours, Appreciation Banquets, and other events. “It is a huge change from what we had before,” said Jenny. “The unit is faster and has additional features that save us time.”
Marco installed the New Ulm Chamber’s Sharp copier/printer and networked the unit so staff members can print directly from their computers. Marco’s training specialist then trained the Chamber’s staff on how to print jobs from their desktops and copy jobs, both utilizing enhanced finishing features.
According to Jenny, “We really like that the unit is networked to all of our computers. By printing directly to the copier, we are saving money versus printing to a personal printer. We’re able to do two-sided copying, collating, and stapling. We can just go to the machine and pick up the papers, put them in an envelope, and away they go.” The unit also allows them to track the number of copies made for each of their different committees. And to further increase their productivity, they are looking at adding scanning and faxing features in the near future.
Jenny commented on Marco’s service. “Blake has been very helpful to us in coming up with solutions. He’s also an involved Chamber member. Every once in a while he’ll just stop in to make sure everything is working well for us or to see if we need anything.”
She added, “Marco’s service is very good. I always get a call back letting me know approximately when the service tech will be here. The service tech has always been very personable and keeps me informed of what he is doing, if he needs to order parts, and when the parts should be in.
Jenny described her overall experience with Marco as, “We are very happy with our machine. Marco has been very wonderful to work with and has a good line of equipment. They have been very responsive to our needs. I can’t praise Marco enough.”
