To address Gjesdahl & Associates’ paper and storage issues, Kevin Eide, Document Solutions Technology Advisor for Marco, recommended upgrading their current copier to a new unit with printing and scanning features. Kevin worked with Mike Gjesdahl, Attorney at Law, Gjesdahl & Associates, to demonstrate and recommend a Sharp AR-M450 copier/printer solution which is equipped with Sharpdesk—a software which allows them to scan, email, and archive their documents. This eliminates them having to send documents via the mail or a fax machine. They can simply scan the document directly to their client’s email address. Mike explained, “It allows us to quickly get documents to clients and opposing counsel. Our clients appreciate it because it is quick!”
The Sharp AR-M450’s scanning feature has also been a huge space saver for Gjesdahl. In fact, now that they are able to scan all of their legal documents and archive them electronically, they save a tremendous amount of storage space. Mike said, “We save 15-20 bankers boxes of paper storage per year! We have pretty much eliminated paper files—they are now all scanned and backed up electronically.” The Sharpdesk software also allows them to quickly and easily find and retrieve their electronically stored documents as they need them.
Mike was pleased with the service he received from Kevin throughout the sales and installation process. “We trust Kevin,” he said. “He is real attentive and personable. When we have issues, Kevin takes care of them.”
And with Marco’s Managed Account Program, which allows them to just pay for the copies used, they were able to upgrade their new copier/printer with the added scanning features for the same cost per copy they were paying for their previous unit. The program includes the equipment, service, and supplies—everything except paper, staples, and network troubleshooting services. It allows them to upgrade to a new unit as their needs change.
When asked about the ongoing service responsiveness they receive from Marco, Mike responded, “We have been impressed and entirely satisfied with Marco’s service. The unit has been really reliable and when we have had an issue, Marco comes over and takes care of it for us. We’ve been happy.”
