With almost 300 employees, efficient and reliable document output is key in keeping ECMC’s people productive. For Jeremy Trapp, ECMC’s Senior Corporate Services Representative, having a vendor he can count on is important. “We don’t have time to look around,” said Jeremy, “I just need someone I can trust to tell them our needs and have them put the solutions together for us.”
Jeremy relies on Steve Gau, Marco Account Representative, for ECMC’s document output needs. “I just call Steve and he recommends a solution. He is an excellent sales representative and always does an outstanding job finding the best solution to fit our needs.”
Over the past couple of years, ECMC has purchased eleven black and white Sharp AR-M450 and AR-M550 copier/printers, five Sharp DC-500 fax machines, and a new Konica 8031 color imager from Marco. Marco’s data technicians also networked their digital units so users to print right from their desktops. ECMC uses the high volume Sharp AR-M550 in their mailroom to handle the larger jobs for their Foundation documents. Their Legal Department benefits from the scanning feature of the Sharp AR-M450 and utilizes it frequently to scan their documents to email, saving them time not having to mail or fax documents.
When ECMC was in the market for a new color output device for their Publications Group, Jeremy visited Marco’s New Brighton office so Steve could show him the features and functions of the Konica color imagers. In July 2004, Marco upgraded ECMC to a new Konica 8031 color imager. Three of their Publications group’s staff are networked to the 8031 to produce a variety of color documents including 80 page seminar pamphlets, newsletters, and other publications for the various divisions of their company.
After the Konica 8031 was installed and networked, Mary Tonnell, Marco’s Color Specialist and Trainer, provided training for Jeremy and the Publications Department at their office. Jeremy said, “The training provided was great!” And as questions come up, Mary is available to assist their staff as needed so they can fully utilize the numerous features of their new color unit.
Jeremy has also been pleased with the service Marco provides them. “Marco’s service is exceptional!” he explained. “Gregg Carlson, our dedicated service representative, gave me his cell phone number so if we have a problem, he checks with me first to see if he can walk me through it over the phone. If not, he comes out and takes care of us. Marco’s team is very prompt!”
When asked to sum up his experience with Marco over the past couple of years, Jeremy responded, “Absolutely fabulous! We wanted to get down to one core vendor. We like Marco—Steve treats us very well!”
