Networked Copier and Fax Machine

The Pinske Edge
The Challenge

The Pinske Edge was using HP Laserjet printers for the majority of their printing and an Epson dot matrix printer to run their reports. When their contract from a previous vendor expired, Cindy Eggersgluess, Business Manager, was seeking options to upgrade their equipment features and increase their efficiency.

After several contacts with Cindy, Trevor Akervik, Marco Account Representative, was given the opportunity to evaluate The Pinske Edge's copy/print needs. Trevor knew he could provide them with feature-rich equipment and service to increase their efficiency and reduce their printing costs.

“This was our first experience with Marco, and I didn't really have time to research a new copier vendor,” said Cindy. “However, Trevor's persistence paid off. He helped me take a look at what we were currently paying and new equipment features that could increase our productivity. We really credit Trevor for our decision to switch vendors.”

The Solution
Marco provided The Pinske Edge with a networked Sharp AR-407 copier and a HP 4600N color laser printer. “Since we have our new Sharp AR-407 networked, our volume has increased because of the added convenience,” said Cindy. “Our networked copier gives us much more flexibility. We print a lot of reports and the networkability makes printing much easier, faster, and the unit is not jamming.”

Marco's Managed Account Program allows them to upgrade their units with new features as their needs change. Cindy noted, “Because we're growing, our needs change regularly. I learned through the evaluation process with Marco that we can upgrade to much better equipment as our business needs change. We can easily update our plan and copier features as our volume increases. Our new Sharp AR-407 now gives us enough drawers so we can have our letterhead and different size papers always loaded—which saves us time.”

The Pinske Edge's HP color laser printer allows them to do some of their marketing flyers in house. Cindy said, “It's nice to have the HP color printer for our smaller, more targeted mailings so we don't have to run them to a printer.”

Marco also upgraded The Pinske Edge's old fax machine with a new Sharp FO-4400 facsimile. “The fax alone has helped us so much,” said Cindy. “It feeds automatically so we don't have to wait for it, and is a huge improvement over what we were using.”

The Results
Cindy is happy their new equipment hasn't required much service thusfar, and she is very pleased with Marco's service after the sale. “Trevor checks with me quarterly to make sure things are going well. And when he tells me he is going to check into something, he does,” said Cindy.

“The reason we changed vendors is the price and product. It's the relationship that makes me stay with Marco. I always try to get new customers for Trevor. I'm really happy we made the move—it's one less thing I have to think about.”
