Tim Pederson, Vice President of Horvick's, worked with Kevin Eide, Marco Account Representative, for an output solution that not only allowed them the added features they needed, but also reduced their printing costs.
Kevin recommended a networked Sharp AR-M450 copier with scanning and postscript printing capabilities. This unit allowed Horvick's to move print jobs that were formerly printed on a laser printer to the Sharp copier, which gives them faster output and a lower cost per print. “The new unit is a great benefit for us in printing our statements and invoices versus printing them on a laser printer. There are times when we print a thousand invoices at a time, and we needed a better solution for high volume printing.”
Tim also likes Marco's Managed Account Program, which allows them to pay a cost per copy just for the copies used. The program includes service and supplies—everything except paper, staples, and network troubleshooting services. And it allows them to upgrade to a new unit with more features when the need arises. “Marco's Managed Account Program is a real benefit,” commented Tim. “We get service when we need it, and we can upgrade our machine as our printing needs change.”
Horvick's is currently running 250,000 - 300,000 copies per year. They also take advantage of the Sharp AR-M450's added features of scanning to email, postscript printing, and a faxing option. The postscript printing feature allows Tim to print multiple copies of the manuals he creates in PageMaker and saves as PDF files.
And Tim has been happy with Marco's service. Tim said, “Kevin has been really good to work with. He has stopped here numerous times just to make sure things are running smoothly. He came out and programmed the copier so it could separate the output from our faxes and copies so they didn't get mixed up. If I have a question, he'll address it.”
“Our service response from Marco has been very good,” said Tim. “We ran into an issue early with the document feeder, and Marco was out to resolve it within an hour.”
